PaperOne™: Good morning Mr. Ashish Karia, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let’s start with you sharing more about yourself and your role in Hero Multi-Pap Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Ashish Karia: Thank you for having me! I am Ashish Karia and I am the Director at Hero Multi-Pap Pvt. Ltd. Hero Multi-Pap Pvt. Ltd. is a 3rd generation family owned business established in 1974 and we provide our global customers with a vast range of products and solutions. As part of my role, I take care of the overall operations and the accounts of some key customers.

PaperOne™: Wow, seems like your company has a rich history! What do you think sets Hero Multi-Pap Pvt. Ltd. apart from its competitors?

Mr. Ashish Karia: What makes us special is our one stop solution to cater to all the paper needs of our clients. This has led us from our humble beginnings to become one of the leading paper trading companies in the region today - of which we are beyond grateful for.

PaperOne™: Wow, sounds like it has been an extremely fulfilling journey! Could you share with us about your experience with working with APRIL Group?

Mr. Ashish Karia: : We have been part of the APRIL Family since 2015 and we sell all APRIL products. With values like professionalism and integrity that APRIL Group upholds even at the business level, together with always ensuring that we as their dealers constantly feel valued and heard, it’s been a joy supporting them this many years, with more to come.

PaperOne™: Thank you for your kind words Mr Ahshish Karia! We’re happy that you value our work ethic. Does your company prefer PEFC products?

Mr. Ashish Karia: We do indeed! This is because PEFC products are produced more responsibly and sustainably.

PaperOne™: It is great to hear that your company believes in supplying more sustainably-sourced products! Since the shift towards e-resources such as e-books and e-magazines, how do you think that the pulp and paper industry has been impacted?

Mr. Ashish Karia: While there has been a shift towards using electronic mediums instead of paper in the urban areas, the rural parts of India are still developing and there remains a huge demand for paper still, especially in the education sector. Moreover, the rise of e-commerce has led to an increase in the demand for packaging products and being involved in that sector, we are eagerly awaiting APRIL FINE’s new packaging mill to start soon!
